What we collect, why, and how you stay in control. Plain language, no legal waffle.
What cookies we use
We keep things simple. Two of these need your permission. The rest are either there because you asked for something, or because we are counting how pages are used - which never identifies you, and which you can switch off below.

The consent cookie is classified as "strictly necessary" under UK law - it just remembers what you chose. It doesn't track anything.
Usage statistics
We count page views, clicks and scrolling with a tool called PostHog, so we can see which pages are read and which are not. This runs whether you accept or decline cookies, and UK law does not require us to ask permission for it, because we use it only to understand how the site is used and to make it better. We do not use it to make decisions about you, and it never becomes a profile. Your IP address is used to work out your country and is not kept.
To count visits rather than page loads, we give your browser an anonymous id. It carries no name, no email and nothing about you, and it is thrown away after 24 hours - not renewed while you keep visiting, but genuinely retired, so we cannot follow you from one week to the next. If you would rather we did not do this at all, there is a button below and it takes effect immediately.
If you accept cookies, a longer-lived id lets us recognise a return visit, so we can tell new readers from returning ones. If you give us your email address - to download a template, or to get in touch - we link that visit to you so we can follow up properly. If you have not accepted cookies, that link is made for that visit only and nothing is stored on your device.
What tracking we use and why
When you accept cookies, we use a tool called Apollo to understand which organisations visit our site. This tells us that someone from a particular company looked at our services page, for example.
It does not tell us who you are personally - just the organisation you're browsing from. We use this to have better conversations with the right people. If a company we've been speaking with visits our site, it helps us understand what they're interested in.
If you decline cookies, the Apollo script never loads and none of this happens. The site works exactly the same either way.
Session recording
When you accept cookies, we sometimes record how the site is used - mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and which pages you move between - so we can see what's working and fix what isn't. Think of it like watching an anonymous screen recording of a visit.
We don't record what you type. Form fields, including your name and email, are hidden automatically before anything is saved. The recording is tied to an anonymous visitor, not to you personally.
This only happens if you accept cookies. If you decline, nothing is recorded, and the site works exactly the same.
What we don't do
- We don't use Google Analytics
- We don't build advertising profiles
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone
- We don't track you across other websites
Stop usage statistics
You can object to the usage statistics at any time, free, with one click. We stop counting straight away, and we delete the anonymous id from your browser. The site works exactly the same.
Change your preferences
You can change your cookie choice at any time. Click the button below to reset your preferences - the cookie banner will reappear so you can choose again.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can:
