Agency through change
A conversation for any team going through change - about how much say they have in it.
Five short statements about having a say in change, each with questions to talk about. Use it as a set of reflective questions, or as a diagnostic.
As a diagnostic, everyone first rates privately how true each statement is for them right now, from 1 (not at all true) to 5 (completely true), and the team shares the spread before anyone explains their score. You don't need to cover all five - start with whichever feels most live, or the lowest-scoring one if you're rating.
It works for any team going through change, including a leadership team. Run it with the team, not about them - as a quick run-through or an in-depth session.
What you'll learn
- Agency through voice - "I can say what I think about this without it costing me."
- Agency through challenge - "I can challenge the reasons for this and get a real answer."
- Agency through contribution - "I can contribute to what changes, and see that it counted."
- Agency through delivery - "I have a say in how this changes what I do day to day."
- Agency through pace - "I can say when it's too much, and something changes."
