What's in this BANI Framework template
The first page is the BANI diagram. Each of the four conditions is drawn as it behaves - a bar that snaps, a line that trembles, a curve that runs away, a tangle of dots - beside the response that works within it. The second page is a summary card covering what BANI is, when to use it, the four conditions and their responses, five steps for using it with a team, and five things to watch for. The third page sets out how we use BANI with leadership teams and a simple way to get started this week.
Tips for using it
Use it with a real situation, not in the abstract. Pick the plan you are most worried about and read it against each letter in turn. Most situations are dominated by one or two conditions, and naming which ones is half the value. Start with brittleness - ask where the plan would snap first - because it is the easiest to see and the most practical to fix. And notice how people are feeling about it before you change anything: anxiety left unspoken tends to show up later as rushed decisions.
